What does it mean when a Brother Printer's Status is "Offline"?

1.   Start your printer again and wait for a couple of minutes until your printer is prepared.

2.   Verify your printer's connection (Wireless or USB).

3.   If you're using the USB cable connection, ensure that the cable is plugged into the correct way and securely on your printer and computer.

4.   If you're using Wireless and Wi-Fi connections, be sure to be connected to the correct network. The lighting on your printer's wireless is likely to show Solid-state when connected.

5.   Run a test print.

If your printer is connected but is offline, it may be due to the Brother status of the printer. For instance, the chosen printer may not be selected for default, or it may be offline or not appear in Windows 10's printer settings. Take these steps to identify all problems.

1.   Start the Printers and Devices windows from Control Panel.

2.   Choose your Brother printer, right-click it, and click on "See What's Printing. "

3.   Then, click on the printer you want to use and click "Set for the default printing device".

4.   Under "Set as the default printer", Under "Set as default printer", you can view your printer's status: offline or stopped.

5.   If your Brother printer is in pause, click "Resume the printing".

6.   Run a test print.
